92.7 BIG FM raises awareness on ill effects of Tobacco Use

The entire Mangalore city resonated in the cries of Dumm Idre Dham Bidi as the RJs from 92.7 BIG FM undertook the task of creating awareness on the harmful effects of using Tobacco. Not just awareness talks on air, but the RJs also ensured that non-listeners too benefited from the programme by conducting a road show at various parts of the city, and then as a culmination to the event, hosted an interactive session at City Centre Mall, Mangalore.

ACP Udaya Nayak, Dr Alka C Bhat, pulmonologist of Unity Health Complex, district health officer Dr Shiva Kumar and Mangalore – 92.7 FM station head Aniruddha P, were present on the occasion and enlightened the mall visitors about the problems related to smoking addiction and tobacco use. Also, talented young artists from Mangalore under the banner SPLASH entertained and educated the crowd with a quick piece of art highlighting dangers of tobacco usage.

The words ‘Dumm Idre Dham Bidi’ roughly translate to ‘Quit Smoking if you have the guts’. As a part of the programme several people pledged to quit smoking, if not immediately at least phase by phase.

As for the on-air programme, the station aired content relating to harmful effects of tobacco use the whole day. Noted personalities, experts, doctors, people who have quit smoking etc. joined the 92.7 BIG FM RJs in spreading knowledge regarding the same.

Plight of Migrants

Sean Ellis ki film Metro Manila par adharit Ritesh Shah adapted Citylightsek aur bade shehar ki roshni mein pallte jurm aur akelepan ki dastaan hain.

Aisi filmein humne post partition se ab tak bohat baar dekhi hain. Citylights ko anokha banati hai sabse pehle director Hansal Mehta ki neeyat aur sachai.

Jis tarha se ek chidiya tinka tinka chunke apna ghosla banati hai ussi tarha se Hansal Mehta apni kavita/ sangit aur kirdaron samit haule se aap ke dil mein jagah banate hain.

Film ka sabse bada plus film ki supporting cast.  Hero Rajkumar Rao toh effective hain magar nayi ladki Patralekha kamal karti hain!  

Film slow hain – depressing hain magar sachi hain, sensitive hain.

Agar aap entertainment ki talash mein hain, toh ye film aap ke liye nahi hain.

Agar aap zindagi se judna chahte ho toh Citylights aap ke liye hain!

BIGFM in association with Life Ok organizes LIFE OK NOW AWARDS on 21st May,2014.

Awards need not be an annual event, they can even be held every month. BIG FM, in association with Life OK, has presented the audience choice awards based on monthly ratings. A shimmering evening with A-listers from films, television and music.

The ‘Life OK Now Awards’ have been conceptualized by Life OK and produced by Big Productions along with 92.7 Bigfm

'Heropanti' disappoints....

Sajid Nadiadwala produced aur Shabir Khan directed Heropanti  Haryana ke honour killings ki kahani hain.

Jaat biradri ke mukhiya Prakash Raj ki badi beti shaadi ke mandap se bhaag jaati hain.

Bhaagi hui ladki ki talash mein Prakash Raj aur uska pariwar sainkdo laashe bichane ko taiyaar ho jaate hain.

Kuch ke saath khoon kharaba karte hain, aur kuch ko ghar par bandi bana lete hain.

Iss tannav bharre vatavaran mein chupke se palti hain ek aur prem kahani…

Film ka subject/treatment old fashioned hain aur second half unduly overstretched bhi.

Ye daurr hain swinging 60s ka- lambi taar wale phones/Impala gaadiyaan/ alishaan theatres/ dusty studios/ rangili partiyaan/still cameramen aur sab se badkar, theatre ke bahar 3 ka 5 bolne wale Black marketers ka.

Ek mashoor abhinetri chatt se girkar ,atmahatya karti hain aur yahan se shuru hoti hain bohat saari kahaniyaan…

Film mein anginat characters hain magar script sabhi characters ke saath insaaf karti hain.

Film ka plus - film ki supporting cast jo jam ke apna jadu dikhate hain.

Ashish Gaikar ki super smooth editing – pata hi nahi chalta Interval kab hota hain.

Film ka look, locations, super-hit music aur sab se shreshth, Bunty Rathore ke hilarious dialogues – agar isse nahi suna toh kuch nahi suna!

92.7 BIG FM celebrates Mother’s day with FM radio’s first ever feature film.

92.7 BIG FM, India’s No.1 FM network along with Clinic Plus, is all set to create history with a special Mother’s Day treat for listeners! The two brands join hands to produce and launch FM radio’s first ever feature film! In the launch of the movie today at 92.7 BIG FM studio, Tisca Chopra, Sparsh Khanchandani, Alok Nath, Himani Shivpuri and Upasana Singh, spoke to the media and fans on the two hour movie titled Maa Ke Aanchal Mein written by Neelesh Misra. It is funny how teams happen in our films. Fox Star Studios and Vishesh Films made Shahid which got rave reviews and awards including National Award for director Hansal Mehta and actor Rajkummar Rao and therefore the team returns with another hopefully praise worthy film Citylights end of the month.

The film is an official remake of the international award winning film Metro Manila adapted to Hindi where Rajkumar is the small town trader who migrates with his family in search of a better life but is unprepared for the challenges thrown at him.

Years ago Bimal Roy made Do Bigha Zameen which was about a farmer migrating to the city in search of a better life only he was fortunate to return to his village. Knowing Mahesh BhattCitylights will be a dark film that ends in the big bright city.
